We focus on being the trusted advisor for our clients, building relationships and providing exceptional service. Our financial services meet every need be it simple or sophisticated. The bank provides the capacity and expertise individuals and businesses of all sizes need to thrive, from online banking and bill pay to commercial lending and treasury management services to concierge banking.
First American Bank also offers clients a broad array of service from First American Wealth Management Group and First American Bank Home Mortgage, including financial consulting, investment management, employee benefits, trust, mortgage origination, and property/casualty insurance services.
Stark Bank Group, Ltd. is the holding company for First American Bank and controls assets of approximately $1.7 billion. We are proud to be considered a healthy and sound bank, strengthening the communities in which we operate even during challenging times. Our Mission Statement is Helping People Succeed.
Founded during the Great Depression, First American Bank has a proven history of flourishing even during economic adversity. In 2009, the bank celebrated 75 years helping their customers succeed.
First American Bank was chartered in Fort Dodge, Iowa, in 1934, and served the needs of that community for some 65 years before embarking on considerable growth to serve many other Iowa communities statewide.
In 2005, the bank purchased Pelican National Bank of Naples, Florida. Today, First American Bank operates from three southwest Florida communities in Lee and Collier counties: Naples, Ft. Myers and Cape Coral.
A new Naples facility opened in February 2009 at the intersection of Pine Ridge and Livingston. Pine Ridge now serves as First American Bank’s Florida headquarters.
First American Bank commercial and small business banking services are delivered by bankers with the experience to understand our clients’ business plans and personal banking needs. Decisions are made locally, with a sense of urgency that matches the mindset of the many business owners we serve.
We are proud to be able to offer the in-depth resources of larger regional and national banks, yet deliver our services through a statewide network of community banks that are in a position to recognize our customers on a personal basis. This ability to personally know our customer is a key element to the customer service we are determined to provide.
Increasingly, this recognition is also integral to the security of our customers. When we recognize by face — and usually by name — those who bank with us regularly, we are more likely to know banking patterns and can recognize when “things aren’t quite right”. This helps us not only provide wow service, but allows us to protect our customers from many scams.
