A: There are two ways to enroll:
A: You will be prompted to select a six digit PIN number; there are no other requirements. For added security, we recommend selecting something other than your debit card PIN number for a portion of the SecureCode®.
A: You can register any existing MasterCard cards, debit or credit, as long as they are issued by a participating issuer. There is no limit to how many cards you can register.
A: This is a security precaution to verify the person registering is the real cardholder. The information you provide is checked against the information your card issuer has on file. For further security, you are asked for the signature panel code number (the last three digits that appear on the back of your card) to be sure you have physical possession of the card being enrolled.
A: When you make a purchase at a participating merchant, a window will pop up requesting your SecureCode®. After reviewing the details of your purchase simply enter your SecureCode® to complete your purchase.
A: Yes, no waiting period is necessary. You can begin using your SecureCode® immediately after completing registration.
A: When you shop at participating online merchants, using a card you have enrolled in MasterCard SecureCode®, your MasterCard card number is automatically recognized, resulting in the pop up window that asks for your SecureCode®.
A: Yes, but you will not be asked for your SecureCode® at these merchants. Just follow the traditional checkout process to complete your purchase.
A: Return to the registration site, click on the "Forgot SecureCode®'" link, and follow the instructions to re-enroll your card and replace your previous SecureCode®.
A: Yes, return to the registration site and access the "Account Assistant" feature by clicking on the "Login" button. You can then change your SecureCode® to anything you want as long as it meets your Issuers SecureCode® configuration.
A: Return to the registration site and access the "Account Assistant" feature by clicking on the "Login" button. You can then remove the SecureCode® feature from your card.
A: Your card issuer automatically updates this information in your profile.
A: You will need to register the new card; simply return to the registration site and complete the registration process with your new card.
A: If your MasterCard card is issued in the United States it features zero liability. However, MasterCard SecureCode® provides additional protection and peace of mind above and beyond zero liability — saving you time, aggravation and the hassle of disputing a charge that isn't yours.
