The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced First American Bank has been recognized as the top lender in the state of Iowa for Fiscal Year 2009. The bank approved 51 SBA loans worth over $23.4 million to small businesses in Iowa. Overall in Iowa, the SBA guaranteed 852 loans for $210.7 million.
First American Bank became involved in SBA lending in 2002. This is the fourth year First American Bank's performance, commitment and support to the program has received special recognition by the SBA.
